Carrot is one the most simple, popular and loved vegetables that is very easy to grow,cook and to eat. It is always there for all Kitchen Thingz....either as a main actor or a supporting one. It's is also well known in the society at large amongst old and young people. If you are a carrot fan, you will never deny the fact that it has this sweet taste and crunchy texture.
There are Over 100 different types of carrots that vary in sizes and colors. But here in Nigeria we are more related with this orange one. Carrot is not only loved because of its sweet taste and crunchy feels...we cherish carrot because it provides our body with nutrients.
Apart from the fact that carrot provide us with Vitamin B1, B2, B6, k, biotin,fiber, potassium and thiamine . It is also a good source of strong cleansing properties that are effective in detoxifying the liver and very effective for treating "Acne" that is caused by toxins from the blood. The vitamin A and other nutrients contained in carrot efficiently nourishes the skin, prevents dry skin and skin blemish.
Am so sure that most of the Carrot farmers are yet to know the simple and preventive nature of what they have been dealing with. But for those that deal on it because they knows that it is needed for human health maintenance, more grease to your elbows.
As small as carrot is, it can prevent you from having night blindness because it contains Vitamin A that the retina of the eyes need to function well. It has also been proven that people who eat carrot very well had 40% lower risk of muscular degeneration than those who consume little.
Carrot can be eaten raw, roasted,boiled, cooked, stir fried, but you have to make sure that it remains a carrot after going through your cooking method. #itagokwaife?
