Abducted Chicken Breast In Chili Sauce #BringBackOurGirls..

In this simple Recipe, 4 chicken were  abducted from a forest very close to the border, some where on the other side of the country. During the abduction, three goats were wounded and taken to the butcher for immediate treatment ,while up to ten chicken flee for their life. Other two were well payed  for helping out in the abduction. The 4 abducted chicken were all blessed with healthy breast.... i mean a breast to write home about, i had separate the main breast from the bone guiding the breast...before i seasoned the live chicken breast with salt and sesame oil, then  made a blend of red chili, ginger and honey for the sauce.

As abducted chicken breast in kitchen thingz, i did not open it until about 25 minutes, allowing it to marinate and get converted to kitchen thingz. Then i sent it into an already heating  wok on fire, i stir fried it  until it turned brown and tender. I did not remove it from the wok to set aside as usual, due to security reasons...though it was not meant for  public consumption but  for my ears only. I added the blended sauce right in the middle of the wok and stir fried it for another 3 minutes before adding green pepper, carrot and corn starch, to thicken the sauce and it came out like this.

Food Naming Ceremony.

          I made this food on a Monday morning with unripe plantain, tomatoes, fresh red pepper, carrot, water, cucumber, green apple,chicken broth, ''plus including'' chicken wings. Abeg make una join hands together name this food for kitchen thingz.

I Love My Cutting Board

   Cutting board is a durable board on which we place materials for cutting.They are made in different sizes and shapes . It is used by all and every.... for different purpose. Some chopping boards are made of wood while some are made of plastics and of different colors.

I am hundred percent sure that most of you own one or two kinds of cutting board in your various  homes but what you cut on it is what i cannot say for sure.... all i can say is what i do with mine and how we relate with each other during kitchen thingz.

My cutting board is barely 2 months  and some days old with kitchen thingz....though we agreed earlier on 3 months of test-run but due to it's  tremendous performance, i decided to keep it on..... It came at the right time and in the right kitchen. i have a special way of washing my cutting board, making sure it remains clean, dry and well kept after using it. In kitchen thingz, there is this saying that utensils shall come and go but chef valicci remains the same.

I love my cutting board because, it is my own.

Food Repentance

Kitchen Thingz bears the responsibility to reveal the secrets surrounding food and man. In kitchen thingz, food  repentance means 'changing  the way we  think about food'. You need to see some people and the way they react to food. Some of us depend on food for emotional healing while some find it difficult to resist food at any point in time.Many feel like break dancing when they see food . You  need to live with someone with  eating disorder to be able to understand the pains they go through and the need for food repentance.

 I repented from late night  food two years ago and since then, my life has been wonderful.... my morning became more healthier than it used to be. l  have also received testimonies from many clients that repented from one bad eating habit or the other. If we  change the way we think about food,  we shall  begin to gain the health benefit of every food we eat. It is true that  we all have  sinned and  come short of the  health benefits of food...but who ever believes in food repentance shall have a second chance. I understand how difficult food repentance can be , but don't forget the saying that "if there is no pain...there will be no gain.

Another major factor that hinders food repentance is the guilt people feel to disclose the type and quantity of food they ate, knowing that the stomach will never say what it is filled with.Some of us eat like prisoners at  home while some eat like criminals.Some do not know what to eat but they know what to wear.

I am not saying that it is wrong to eat tight ,but when u see a banker eating like a truck pusher ...you will be forced to asking  questions. One of the sins against food that i am holding on to today is overeating.
Overeating is a terrorist in the kitchen and it has a way of abducting both men and women of all ages, religion and tribes. It is  one sin that needs total cleansing and repentance in kitchen things.It has contributed to a lot of uncountable problems especially in men. Overeating is a big sin against food and  it is capable of disorganizing  a whole nation.That is why i go to sleep with one eye  and i will continue with one eye until am able to wipe this terror called long throat ,then i can sleep with my two eyes.

Over eating can be caused my many factors but kitchen thingz investigation revealed  that one of  the secrets behind    overeating is long- throat.  I believe you understand were am coming from, because if you don't .... u will have yourself to blame. As a Food evangelist, i tackle long- throat by fire by force.... without leaving any stone on turned .

My massage today is that we should all repent  and begin to eat the right food at the right time and the right quantity ...  before water go pass garri.

Edikaikong Soup.

In this article , am not going to share any Edikaikong recipe with us today but i  am going to share the secret behind this soup.
 This soup is one of the most popular soups in Nigeria  .It is made with different kinds and parts of meat plus including  sea food . .Edikaikong as a soup is not just tasty and healthy, it also plays a serious and important role  in our society. It has the power to unite people from all tribes and religion, old and young,male and female .

This native Efik soup contributed immensely to the development of the Efik women and girls ....most of them graduated from kitchen to bedroom ..sorry...main room .I call it the wild soup... because of it's bush nature, counting from beef to kpomo, periwinkles to stock fish, bush meat to  snail ...ORISHIRISHI  joor oooh .

To cook edikaikong soup,you must be a trouble free person...you must be humble and ready to protect it till it is done.Women who fixes fake nails are not qualified to cook this soup.Men with pot belly are also banned from  hanging around  the kitchen when this soup is on fire. People living in face me - i face you  apartment do  not cook this soup in the public kitchen, they cook it right inside their room, to avoid neighboring  long throat . This is to tell you how precious this native soup is.

One disadvantage of edikaikong is that "it attracts unwanted visitor ,people hardly say no to edikaikong and almost everyone knows the features of this soup. The second disadvantage is that, it causes over feeding in some long throat  people.

Edikaikong has also caused many trouble from different angles, especially with women .A lady told me that she almost lost her husband to her friend  just because of this soup.The main issue  that i am yet to find out is the argument that broke out  yesterday in  a food house along oduduwa street .And as far as Kitchen thingz is concerned ,i must get to the truth of the matter not the root, because if i get to the root ,' the matter don die be that"
This argument lasted for about three good hours ,involving people of different  tribes and religion, people were allowed to call a friend.Actually i was called by a friend who knows me and my ways with food . .This argument was about the name EDIKAIKONG  and how it came about.




none of the men involved in this argument shares the same origin with the soup.I was surprised to see an hausa, yoruba and a Ghanaian arguing about Edikaikong soup.The yoruba and the Ghanaian men were against   the hausa man who said that, the  name Edikaikong was taking from the word EDDY CAN,T COME.
According by him , Eddy went to  Akwa - Ibom state for  business , there he met an Akwa ibom woman and  settled down with her. As an only son , his mother did not support his moves, insisting  that her husband  should go to Uyo and force him back home.She even threatened to commit suicide if she did not see Eddy .

Eddy's wife was the only one at home when his father arrived, she welcomed him as usual and gave him the necessary attention as a father in-law in the making,She also told him that Eddy traveled on  a business trip and will not be back for a week. After that, she fixed him with a warm bath .At that time his mission was beginning to gain  k leg .She served him  a native edikaikong soup with  fufu. As he was  bouncing on the meal ,his wife called from home to find out how far with his 'operation bring eddy back'   .. all he answered was ----EDDY CAN,T COME! .


NOTE ! I CAN,T SAY HOW TRUE THIS STORY IS UNTIL I FINISH MY KITCHEN THINGZ INVESTIGATIONS.
